racer trash was described as a “radical editing collective” by the news in canada at some point and the label stuck. it started in may 2020 because i wanted a vaporwave cut of the movie speed racer for my birthday (which you can watch in full here!), me & a groupchat full of creative friends made it happen very quickly and screened it on twitch to a much bigger audience than we anticipated & the snowball rolled down the mountain from there until around the end of 2021 when it finally hit the ground and we were done. here’s a nice article about it! we edited and screened a whole lot of work in that time, i ran most of the streams for the first year and honestly couldn’t tell you how much stuff i made for it. there are some full racer trash movies on the internet archive & i think all of them are floating around the internet somewhere these days. i’d definitely recommend watching racer trash movies/projects in their full state but yeah my personal portfolio is below, in reverse chronological order. thank you for watching, it was quite a ride.
